Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great festive holiday. I’m just going to take this opportunity to look back at some of the things I worked on in the last months of 2015.
The latter part of the year involved a lot of travelling, including trips to Leeds, Birmingham and London for a series of videos I’ve been working on with Scott Houston for Entrepreneurial Spark. The 2 shoots in London as well as the one in Birmingham involved the white backdrop which meant a couple of long road trips during October and December.
I worked on a couple more TV adverts during October and November, which included creating an animated TV advert for Turffit and editing a voice over for McDonald Flooring’s advert as they wanted to run a new campaign thanking their customers for shopping with them.
Inner Ear and Trad TV
I also worked on various projects for Inner Ear including work for Ab2000 and the Digital Tourism Conference in Edinburgh. I also worked on Singing The Pipes at St. Andrews in the Square and Treacherous Orchestra’s gig at Drygate in Glasgow for TradTV. Both of these very exciting to work on, particularly the Treacherous Orchestra gig as the due to the amazing atmosphere and performance.
Trad TV is a new web TV channel created by Inner Ear bringing you a choice selection of traditional Scottish, Gaelic and Celtic culture including some of the best piping, fiddle, ceilidh and ensemble music the world has to offer. I’ll be posting these projects up here when they become available online, so keep an eye out for them.
Documentary and Pantomime
As you may have read in the ‘From Leeds To Tayport’ article, I also worked with Scott Houston on a documentary in a wet and windy Tayport, Fife. We were working with Malaysian production company, FactualTV and the documentary is set to be broadcast on the History Channel.
We also covered the Eastwood Park Theatre Pantomime, which we have done each year for the past 3 years including this one and it was another fun night this year!
Going to try and change things up a bit with news posts on here this year, with more regular shorter updates rather than summaries. You can also keep up with my latest work on social media, so give my page on Facebook a like, follow me on Twitter or you can follow me on instagram.
